The light pole cost I cited was just a single pole for our barnyard. I haven’t put in a lighted arena (yet ) 30ft total length. We’re lucky to have a co-op-- great service and that cost seemed very reasonable to us too.
I just found that drawing online, but yes the design calls for multiple lights per pole. Which makes sense-- might as well optimize your most expensive component.

Nice. It looks like three poles on each side? Do you know how tall are the lights mounted?
Spec, thanks for the pictures. Your ring and lights are fantastic. That’s what I want Santa to bring me this year!!
Thank you so much! We really love them and according to a calculator app I tried they cost about $300 a year to run (2hrs a time 5x a week) The lights are about 20ft up there give or take a few inches and there are 6 poles 3 on each side my arena is 100ft. wide x 220ft. long
Element I sure hope santa brings you some!

Oh, me likey!!!
It is great to choose LED as the lights for hourse arena. The power depends on the size of your outdoor arena. Let me give a a brief illustration. For a 100 * 60 ft site, which is about 950 meter square. If we adopt 200 lux (a normal brightness), you will need, 950 * 200 = 190,000 lumen light. But what the is power equivalent? For the LED lights having 140 lumen per watt, the total power consumption would be 190000 / 140 = 1358 Watt LED arena lights. This value is proportional to the size, you can make the adjustment and then substitute the figures again.
