Definitely check with Virginia Intermont. Even though the college is no longer there the barn and horses now run under Emory and Henry College and I believe is still called Intermont Equestrian. I know a few riders that went to Virginia Intermont College and transferred to Emory and Henry to stay with the barn. Those girls are always looking for work and learned a ton in the classes that they were in at Virginia Intermont College when it was still up and running
