I was reading a COTH article today on her love of flat saddles that listed her as 19. Is she really that old? That makes me feel ancient.
Yeah, I remember her showing ponies, seemed like just yesterday, we are old! And did you notice her perfect eq in that photo? Even at only 19 she has the mark of a great rider, I just love to watch her.
No, she just turned 18. If she were 19, she’d no longer be a junior.
I love that she’s riding in a pancake saddle… I will say, though, that even for us mere mortals of riders, Hermes saddles are incredibly well balanced.
Can’t lie - I’m a little bit jealous that she’s that good and only 18. I remember the Dover cover from years back like it was yesterday!
I’m jealous of her lovely long slim legs
Her eq is just gorgeous, isn’t it? and I second the fact she is 18. This is her last jr. year.

Not in the eyes if USEF though. Right? Because she was 18 when the show year started.
Right?? Or am I making this up?
Eta: nm! I can’t logic today. That would be if she was 17, turning 18 during the show year durrrrrr.
As long as you are not 18 on Dec. 1st, you are a junior for an entire year threreafter in USEF’s eyes.
COTH has corrected her age to 18 in their article.

And I recall the total train wreck that cover photo created on here…

Even funnier in hindsight! It turned out she could ride a little bit after all.
What a very nice young lady!
I was stalled next to her at Prince George for Washington this year and I asked about her saddle . She was so polite and showed me her Hermes and then talked what made her switch. I was impressed with her manners cause I am sure she was busy. And they did announce her as 18 in one of the classes.
I think her showing age is 18 and her age in Muggle years is 19?
And now I’m seriously lusting after a pancake Hermes. Can someone find me one in a 17.5 seat forward flap?

Her show age must be 17 if she’s still a junior.

Send it to me too, please!! I need things to read.
Although my PM box may be full, so maybe via Facebook?
Edit: Never mind, Tha Ridge posted it right before I posted this ^.
And, because I’m procrastinating, the photo in question: http://www.phelpsmediagroup.com/photography/thumbs/000546.jpg
Thank God 8-year-old Lillie didn’t find that thread and decide to quit riding altogether!

Yes. Although she turned 18 in October so as of December 1 will no longer be a jr.
MHM the thread being referenced, is that the one about the Dover catalogue cover picture and the hoopla about the littler girl (Lillie) wearing spurs turned in on her pony? I remember that going down. Makes me feel old that that little girl is now wearing a red jacket!!
