Taylor Griffiths was fantastic
Who is doing the commentary on the live feed?
Oops nvm I see now. Ignore me.
Loved Taylor Griffiths. Smooth, accurate, effective, smart riding.
I saw someone mentioning this on another thread - what happened to Augusta Iwasaki at regionals? I think I saw someone saying she only qualified because she was top 10 at WIHS. Just curious. She’s one of my faves so I’m really glad she’s here!!!

Go Kaitlyn Lovingfoss! She just hunted that whole track
Believe she was one of the victims of the notorious black box at her regional.
Loved Kaitlyn Lovingfoss’s round.
Who was the scratch?
Entry list is showing it as Sloan Lindemann-Barnett.
Ok stupid question: What is a bite in the rein? Is it the extra loop of rein that is behind your hands? I assume that’s what it is, but I’ve never heard it called this.
Yes, that is correct, and I believe the correct spelling for equestrian usage is bight.
Thanks. Never heard it called bight before.
The commentary on NHS is so informative, and I appreciate the opportunity to learn from these two. Instead of hearing about the trainers and connections, they’re talking about how a rider’s position affects the horse’s jump. Sounds so basic, but it’s nice to hear educational commentary.
Agreed. I also appreciate the comments about some of the minor things they are noticing - position of foot in stirrup, position of spur on leg, minor difference in releases. I also like that they have commented on coat colors, logos on breeches, saddle pads that are too small. Details!
I started watching late. Is there any way to go back and see the earlier rounds (with the commentary)?
I need this too, watching from Europe and can’t stay up long enough to watch until the end
The commentators mentioned that the hacks and the second round should be over around 4:45 so if there is a test, you should make it—hope you do!
In these kinds of situations, where the trainer is based far away from where the kid usually lives, does the kid have a different horse at home that they use for most of their lessons? And then they travel to the trainer out of state to get lessons on the show horse/meet them at shows with said show horse?
