McQueen is a fantastic horse! Does anyone know about the breeding on his damside? I couldn’t find anything on Pedigree Query
nm - found her on Hippomundo. What does the percentage after xx: signify?
I believe it means % of Thoroughbred blood but I could definitely be mistaken! The “xx” beside a horse’s name (Ladykiller in this case) means the horse is a TB. Lord, Sanea’s maternal grandsire, having “xx: 75%” would lead me to think he gets 50% from Ladykiller being his sire and possibly Viola, his dam, being half TB as well. I wonder if McQueen’s TB % is more, less, or usual for top hunters?

It would be interesting to see what % most top hunters have! But you’d have to know their name on registry or sire & dam. I wish we placed more emphasis on that here in the US!
We have a young Cornet x Ramiro Z (40.65%) so I’m particularly interested in horses with similar breeding

Cardentos - 58.40%
Estimated Prophet - 35.35%

Did anyone happen to catch who was judging today?
I actually had no idea what the % was on HorseTelex until you asked. My new KWPN filly is 54% - I knew she has a lot of TB in her, and figured it’d be a good thing for the jumpers. Interesting that Cardentos has an even higher percentage!
I wish the breeding for the top hunters was more well-known/advertised too. You can usually find some good info on them in COTH’s Behind the Stall Door articles though!

Who ended on top today? I was only able to watch sporadically
John French on Paradigm won the first round. These are the top 30 coming back for the handy tomorrow in reverse order of their finish today.
I have to say it’s fun to hear the riders comment on their winning rounds.

I finally checked CMH TV dues. OMG, $178 a year. That’s a lot for a few horse shows a year. I miss the old days. 
I think the live stream should start at 3 PM today with the round for the horses that did not qualify for this evening’s handy rounds.

Yes, a few minutes ago they clarified on the live feed that they have to stay inside that closed pen to get from 5 to 6.

Wow that course - that pen is really a different deal!
Yes, I’ve seen a variation of the pen just a few times over the years in big classes, but I don’t think I’ve seen that exact version with the trot in and then the rollback to jump out.
