Looking For New Barn/Muck/Duck Boots -- Any Recommendations?

I have the tall Arctic Muck Boots. Nice and warm, and waterproof, and the mud doesn’t suck them off. I also bought a pair of just above the ankle ones, which I ended up giving away because they rubbed my leg.

I also have a pair of the Muck Boot Pacy II tall boots. These ones are cut narrower in the foot so they can be ridden. They even have a stirrup rest.

If you watch Zulily there are good deals to be had when they are featured.

I have the Muck Boots mid sized, not tall, those are too tall for shrimpy me:

Had them for some time and are working just great, comfortable, got a size up just to be sure and have been taking any abuse just fine.
For me it was important to have very thick, strong foot support.
For deep snow, my insulated overpants fit tight over them so it doesn’t matter they are not any taller.
Snow shoes fit great with them.
When I bought mine they may have been on sale, as best I remember they were around $70 or so?

You might check 6pm.com for deals.

Muck Boots are on sale today at zulily.

Tingly ultralight weight boots! O mgosh, I’ve had all kinds of barn boots, but these are the BEST so far! Mucks, bogs don’t compare, they have all cracked at the ball of the foot or plain out leaked. I’m really hard on shoes and boots. No big lug soles to catch mud, so light in weight, not bulky and best of all, about $40. I’ve had them about a year, they have been warm, which I didn’t expect. No cracks yet…I’ve already had the pair of bogs crack, bought them at the same time.

I found Reed Boots work well for me. They cater to dairy farmers who won’t put up with either wimpy footgear or non-waterproof ones. I got two years of daily use from my first pair and my second pair are showing little signs of wear after six months. I have a lot of trouble finding boots that work for me. Most are too tall as I only have 14" from crease of knee to floor. Moreover, my feet are wide (like EE wide) and too short at womens size 7 to buy mens (have you ever even seen mens in size 5?). The Reed boots fit, they are warm and waterproof and they are snug enough that mud is certainly not going to suck them off. They do run around $100 a pair.

I’ve had really good luck with my LL Bean boots. I have a lace-up pair for muddy/snowy weather and some slip ons for the rest of the time.

Both pairs I’m currently wearing are about 10 years old. They don’t leak and keep my feet warm. I can hose them off and they look like new. The only problem with them right now is they stink from 10 years of daily mucking stalls, etc.
