Luring a kitten

Well she is peeing in the box but has not got the memo about pooping in it. She was in all afternoon yesterday and peed in the box but when I got in the shower - there was a pile of poop. Sigh!!! She was locked in the bathroom all night and I closed the shower door so she used the litterbox overnight. I fed her and threw her outside for a while this AM. Then she came in, ate some food and marched into the bathroom and pooped in the box. I don’t get it but I am hoping this is a turnaround in her bathroom habits.

I will have to try Angry Orange. Not impressed with Nature’s Miracle.

She definitely prefers the indoors. If I get up, she hogs my chair at the computer. But her favorite place to sleep is sprawled out in my lap.

I 2nd this. Nature’s Miracle does nothing. Angry Orange or Bubba’s Rowdy Friends are far better products.

She’s still getting the hang of it. If anything, tossing her outside will just confuse her at this super young stage about where she should potty. Buy the litter attractant - it will help a great deal. Try a softer litter (I’ve always had success with fresh step, but some cats are picky).

If she was separated from her mom too young (sounds like the case) she was not taught how to properly be a cat, which includes burying her business. So she needs a little help here. She’s in her toddler stage - accidents are going to happen. Maybe your previous kittens were raised longer with their moms so they had better bathroom training from their mama. This one still needs some help. Get a pack of puppy pads for the bathroom while she is potty training - it makes clean up much easier on you.
