MAJOR THUMBS DOWN TO SCHNEIDER'S SADDLERY
She has said the same thing over and over again on this thread and still has people bashing her for something that IS NOT the problem and NOT what she is complaining about.
So that makes it okay, to basically insult them? I think not.

As I already said, I don’t agree with the folks bashing her, either. But her bashing them back makes her no better than them.

Customer Service IS the key, and less important than the product

I recently ordered a refurbished Dell laptop. Had trouble getting it to go through because of my darn bank, not my fault or Dell’s, but the reps were very kind and worked with me for a week to get it resolved.

Got the compy and it overheated and wouldn’t turn on within the first week. Called Dell, they promptly sent someone to fix it with a new motherboard. Tech arrived within 2 days as was expected and installed motherboard, but still wouldn’t turn on.

Dell rep was very apologetic. They built me a BRAND NEW laptop with BETTER specs than the one I had ordered and had it to me in less than a week. THAT, my friends, is customer service.

It was frustrating to have issues when I need a laptop for my job, but even though Dell had sent a faulty machine, I was never upset with them because their service was so good and they took an active role to help me fix it, even through multiple issues.

Had Scheider’s done that, we’d probably be getting a big thumbs up for them from DG. It’s not about the halter folks, it’s about how we are treated as consumers.

Actually, if Schneider’s had done what they originally promised to do, yes, I would have acknowledged that.

And I don’t know why anyone was surprised that I came on the boards and bashed an entire company because I wanted to get an expensive custom made, top quality leather halter for no money. Actually, I’m really miffed because Schneider’s didn’t call me up and say, “Look - we’re afraid of you, you wield enormous power on COTH, can we offer you up a halter? Pick any of our halters, for free!” After all, when someone comes on the board with any problem, but especially health and horse health related problems, I’m always the first in line to bash and poke fun. I can’t tell you how many times the mods have nailed me for being snarly and nasty. I bet I’ve been banned more than anyone else for my downright nasty behavior- but I’m going for the COTH World Record here. You can’t imagine how many times people have PM’d me to say, “Wow, I wanted to be uber nasty like you, but you’re just over the top in that department.”

Really. I don’t know why everyone didn’t see through my nefarious plot in the first place.

:winkgrin:Woohoo! You get extra points for using BOTH sarcasm and the correct spelling of “nefarious” in a sentence.

Or, as someone said once to a really riled up GLS, easy girl, while patting her imaginary mane and letting her walk in large circles…

Actually, I deserve double extra points for spelling, because I am not only dyslexic, but majored in science, which everyone knows means you can’t spell worth anything.

the gift of sarcasm, however, is a gift, and I cannot take credit for that, but thank you!

Interesting sidenote - the Dells own a ton of Arabians  Really good ones. All four of their girls ride at the national level if I’m not mistaken

OMG this is the best line in the history of lines.:lol::lol: But it’s true, DG - I am aghasted that they didn’t recognize your power and shudder before its magnitude. Unless they’re plotting to overthrow you as Ribbon Ho…

Haha, no kidding? That’s cool. See, I knew it was horse related.

Dang! I’m always missing the nefarious plots :frowning:

NO way, I majored in Engineering and have ADHD, I win!

IMO whether you spend 10, 20 or 50 dollars on a halter or anything that is advertised - It should NOT be Defective unless it has such a disclaimer. Period.

It sounds like people are getting down on DG because they feel she shouldn’t be complaining because it is only a 50 dollar halter???

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Thanks for the PSA, DGRH. I appreciate it. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m not interested in doing business with a company that reneges on their promises. Put it in perspective, people. You buy a horse trailer, it’s delivered and the welds are coming apart. Should you accept/expect that because it wasn’t uber-expensive?? Regardless of how much an item costs, a company should stand behind their product and make good on defective items.

And happy 10th Anniversary with Ted, DGRH! I hope you have many more.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes! Ted and I are busy plotting to take over the world. I don’t know what we’ll do the next week, though!

Jupiter?

Jupiter’s still a planet, right? I mean, we wouldn’t want to waste time on anything that’s been downgraded to asteroid status.

No worries, Jupiter is not only a planet, it’s the largest planet in the solar system and has several planet-sized moons.

I believe it’s well worth the time spent in further nefarious planning.

Good.

We’ll plan on ruining the reputations of any tack store on Jupiter and its moons, then.

Great! I’ll be waiting with bated breath
