I have an old International Harvester from the mid-50s. It is very heavy duty and does a terrific job. It has been going nonstop for 5 years with no issues, and I only empty it when it is full, about twice a week. I just don’t have time to empty the spreader daily. I have another job and 2 kids and like to, you know, actually ride the horses every now and then. I replaced the floor and painted it when I got it and it still looks great.
If buying another I would get another used heavy duty from the old days when they weren’t made from thin, crappy metal so it will last with what I consider to be practical usage.
