Anyone have specific brand/ links to mats for wash bay?
I’m in the middle of starting custom construction for barn and house. I’d like to have non slip mats in the wash stall and since we will be pouring concrete soon looking for mats so we know how much recess to leave.
3/4 inch is pretty much a standard thickness, but there are some brands that 1/2 inch and few at 1 inch
We have Summit 3/4 inch, they have been in use for nearly 30 years without a problem …I am not sure they even make these anymore as each mat is about hundred pounds.
Rarely are any of our horses wearing any shoes so our wash bay is not matted it is actually a 24 by 30 foot concrete pad outside… it is sloped some to drain water one way into a french drain
After shopping around, found the best ones here at Tractor Supply. They may have more than one grade/thickness.
Check their website and see what they carry now. Mine are 5-6 yrs. old but have hardly been used as I built shelters.
I too, found 3/4” non-slip mats @ Tractor Supply.
