I thought JH did a very good job testifying in the trial. His answers were clear and concise and he was very respectful to the court.
Too bad the court was not respectful to him when the drinking comment was made. It was irrelevant to the case, its truthfulness unknown and was just plain rude.

I can imagine it will such a relief to MB and LO and everyone who was associated with MB Dressage, to finally have the whole story out in the public. The sheer terror these poor people went through all due to LK and RG.
I have been listening to the criminal trial again, catching things I missed the first time, at this point I am only on day 2. One thing I noticed, when MHG was testifying, twice when there was an objection to Bilinkas’s question, she would quickly slip in the answer. And those two answers were either putting MB in a good light or pushing home the fact that LK is a horrible person.
They may not realize it now, but they were and are SO brave to face LK again. And I am sure AGAIN with the coming civil trial.
Class acts. Class acts.

And I take it since you avoided all the questions, you do not have a PhD, let alone one in a mental health field, nor do you have a YT channel, or any sort of credibility that would permit you to judge his credentials. Noted. Being able to admit when one is wrong or has over stepped in a matter is a virtue. I think it would serve you very well in life. I can understand disagreeing with this person’s opinions, but putting down an entire career field and group of people based on your feelings towards the trial is pretty tacky.
Re: MB being the commander of the internet
It’s pretty outrageous (and funny) for the Ks and all those who claim to be ever so unaffiliated to claim that MB is commanding anyone online while housed in a “maximum security psych ward.” MB has no internet access and I’m am certain he is unable to access these threads, so what is LO supposedly doing? Printing off thousands of pages of posts and going over them in the only hour or so time she has to visit MB? Pretty unrealistic and not the brightest assumption to make.
The vast majority of people commenting on YT, FB, L&C and 48 Hours have absolutely no affiliation with MB. I think the public’s response has to be mortifying for the Ks and this is their reaction to being totally out of control. I guess the whole humility thing and learning from one’s actions has not set in.

yes, I remember that the pair was well matched and the rider was balanced and doing level appropriate work. It really showed what an insecure and mean person LK was. She declared the rider guilty of HORSE ABUSE purely for riding while overweight.

Can the Kanareks then appeal, stopping MB seeing any compensation for what he’s lost?
Eta I’m just contemplating the costs of defending himself and lost income.

They’d have I think 45 days to appeal? Which generally does nothing except pay the attorneys more money. You can’t appeal just because you don’t like what the jury decided, there has to be a legal basis. And then everyone pays their attorneys to write more briefs.

By me appeals must be done within 30 days and it is to get a higher court to examine your claim that a judge has not followed the law. It is NOT the case being adjudicated again like a do over.

Well…the losing party that wants to appeal needs a real brief that nails the law and what was done in error to actually have an appeal granted.
As a side note, appellate law is often its own specialty and generally you want an attorney that specializes in it if you want your appeal to stand a chance.

Legal Eagles, with the repost yesterday of Shelley Albee Lily’s old posts bragging about the audio/video recordings of Hawthorne Hill, I wonder if she is in jeopardy of being subpoenaed to produce the evidence or be deposed to say what was on the recordings?

Now if she’s out of the jurisdiction (New Jersey) her local court may get an application to mandate her answering an interstate subpoena. Easy on a criminal case. But on a civil? We shall see. I don’t recall seeing Habeus Corpus writs filed for civil cases. We did get them in Family Court to produce a person.

Those things (like sending Shelley a subpoena) would happen behind the scenes and not show up on the website as long as she is complying and not ignoring it, right?

Yes. You would not see them unless a judge signed a Writ of HC.
