Assuming there’s no conspiracy surrounding the YT posters (!) and the overwhelming public perception of how LK/RG/JK behaved, it’s not hard to understand the continued reluctance they have to furthering their own suit. It’s good to see that the court is now determined to stop the dilly-dallying.

I had the thought that if CH tires of her campaign here, she might enjoy taking her crusade over to YT! One of the commenters there is another “true crime” presenter who says he is releasing his own video of the same “case” sometime on Saturday.

Similarly, when the topic of unexpected reactions comes up I remember a case profiled as a joint project – maybe This American Life and the New York Times? don’t quote me on that – about a serial rapist. The first victim, in the PNW, reported the crime and ended up being prosecuted for filing a false police report because she did not react in a “correct” (expected) manner.

I remember that.

How long were they beating him while he was unconscious before the cop arrived?

Didn’t she have to go get/find RG’s phone to call 911 because hers was so covered in blood that she couldn’t open it? She testified that it was her blood.

Maybe RG had his phone right there? Phone locations were never clear to me.

So was LK beating MB with her phone for five minutes and change before she called 911?

I wonder if after she and rg did all the beating she then realized she’d been shot, and THAT’s when she called? It might explain why she was"calmer"
Maybe she doesn’t actually know who pulled the trigger, but why not blame it on mb?

There are so many possibilities. Most of them bad.

Maybe they figured it would be their word against MB’s regarding what happened, and then couldn’t believe their luck that MB didn’t remember what happened.

Or maybe they figured it would just be their word since MB would be unable to testify at all by the time they “finished” him, as they had texted to each other about their plans.

But then the cop showed up very quickly.

If only the video and the cameras had been collected by the police before they mysteriously disappeared.

I must admit to feeling badly for sea lions for being so maligned as to have such distasteful behavior named after them, but I am delighted to learn there is a term for the psychological torture we have endured on these threads.

I think RG’s phone was right there, since I think it was RG’s phone that the earwitness ED had called to conveniently hear the gunshots.

I thought that sea lions were the bigger ones with tusks? The ones that occasionally climb up onto boats and sink them?

That’s a California Sea Lion on the beach where I live. Sea lions, seals and elephant seals don’t have tusks. Walruses do. Sea lions also get on docks and can sink them if there are enough of them.
