Michael/ Lauren civil trial update February 9

It’s not on the list of actions. It is referenced in this doc by Mr Silver, before oral arguments.

Also, there were two motions filed on 1/18/2023 - Silver’s motion for a contempt of court order, and Deininger’s motion to compel discovery. There are notifications that those two motions will be decided on 2/3/2023.

There isn’t a notification regarding Stone’s answer to the counterclaim (filed on 1/17/2023). Will there be a notification filed as to when Weaver will rule on that item? Or will he likely rule on it on 2/3 along with the rulings on the motions?

Thanks. You have an amazing memory!

He doesn’t have to rule on the answer, other than adding it to the reason for a jury trial.

Complaint/answer are for the jury to decide (if this case makes it that far)

Thank you.

This doc sticks in my head because of the footnotes!

He shouldn’t be ruling on that. It should be the jury that rules on that after the trial or the judge after a motion is made. Her answers to Barisone’s claims is not a motion, it’s just a preview of how she plans to argue her half of the case.

Ah, thanks. Yes, that makes sense. (I’m down with Covid so the synapses aren’t firing too well.)

Ugh - sending you ALL the chicken noodle, matzo ball and lemongrass soup.

I know I have said this so many times, but it continues to amaze me (not in a good way).

Jonathan Kanarek (@Inigo-montoya) is a freaking lawyer. He is not someone who has no clue how the law thing works. So what if he never actually practiced law, not ignoring a subpoena and not sending a private letter to the judge are law school 101, and most people who are not even lawyers know this.

It is just sad that someone who is a lawyer would disrespect the courts this much. Even worse that he is doing it on a case that his family brought, that he supports.

He is not making himself look like a good father or a good lawyer or a good member of society.

I don’t think he cares. If I had to guess (like always LOL) it’s just a matter of doing whatever is necessary to get your way. To win. To get over.

That’s what I’m guessing and my opinion.

I understand your disgust because I understand you to be a fellow decent person.

But clearly he does care somewhat about his social standing.
Wasn’t he the one at the VIP tent of some show bragging about his daughter being the person that was shot by MB?

I think he truly wants to be special and important.

How did these details not come out during the criminal trial? Is there potential impact to Schelhorn (not sure I spelled that correctly)?

I wonder if there will be a repeat ex parte letter even though it was explained just how inappropriate it was and that the last one was shared with the group.

Also, I really wonder what arguments they will trot out now, since the last judge wasn’t overly impressed with the aged, frail, and elderly (while trucking around half way across the world for several weeks) or the spousal, attorney-client privilege, harassment arguments. A repeat of those since it’s a different judge and maybe he’ll drink the cool-aid?

Oh, and I supposed we know when IM/Seeker will be taking their next vacation. Maybe they’ll share the destination and pictures with us.
