Michael/ Lauren civil trial update February 9

you do realize that MaMa and Papa K have not complied with their subpoenas? If said documents have been turned over there would be no pending contempt findings. But they, the Ks, arent responding to their subpoenas. Ignoring those types of things really leads folks to wonder why… Your comment misses the point that the Ks are the ones not in compliance and are in the hot seat right now.

ETA - that maybe Hut doesnt realize that there are subpoenas that are outstanding, and contempt charges that are pending. The time to properly address the subpoenas has come and gone, a couple of times of now. And yet, the Ks just cant seem be compliant in either producing the documents or responding in a timely manner. In the lawsuit file by their daughter…

I’m waiting to see if the judge scolds the defense for harassing the parents. GAS brought up the second request was too identical to the first which was already quashed.

do you get that there was a deadline?

True, but it does not always happen. Ref: Mike Nifong’s disbarment for failing to disclose exculpatory evidence
https://scholarship.law.duke.edu/faculty_scholarship/1834/

The reversal of nine North Carolina capital cases in the last decade, since open-file discovery was mandated for capital post-conviction litigation, demonstrates the ineffectiveness of solely relying on voluntary Brady disclosures, even when the consequence of an unjust conviction would be execution.

I’m not reading his malarkey but you can defend it and post the proof here. It’s easy. Highlight, copy, paste. You can do it.

I am thinking that Inigo gave his log-in info to his attorney/law clerk, not that Inigo himself is the one reading so much here.

I am going to do this and then deliver to the staff at my barn. Amazing! (My coffee shop does the same, but it’s small and pickings are slim).

Thank goodness I’m not close to one. I’d be tempted to swing by at closing time every night. Lol.

Since we did not see a response from the motions yesterday can we assume that Mr D and Mr. Silver are waiting until a date is set for the oral argument requested in the one motion?
If that is the case it is good that they are saving their clients money however WE cannot read them and WE cannot view the court proceedings.

The ones that we bought had crisper edges (but not thin) with a bit of crunch when you bit them and were definitely softer and not quite cakey in the middle - more of a traditional soft cookie texture. They are thick cookies so crisp is harder to get.

That statement is so lacking in context it’s ridiculous, given the number of horses involved and what the cost of board should have been under the circumstances, given the facility and level of training available.

And our straight lines were so beautiful this morning….

I had postulated way back on one of the other threads that LK may have led MCPO and others in the community to believe that she was the owner/co-owner/official lessee of HH. I had even commented that she may have considered herself the doyenne or duchess of HH. And since she is the master (mistress?) of disinformation, I wouldn’t be one bit surprised to learn that other folks were under the assumption that she was the big dog there.

How quickly do you think they typically come up with a response?
I am sure both of those fine lawyers have other things to do and will respond within the required time. They have never neglected to respond to the stupidity of the Kanarek’s lawyer, so I doubt they are going to start now.

I don’t think we can assume anything yet. They have a timeline in which to respond, which I don’t know for sure what that is in NJ, but I would guess 5-10 days.

What’s so strange about your assertions is that I, and others, HAVE expressed empathy for LK. I, and others, DO hold minority opinions to this day (I, for one, don’t know who shot LK). And yet I don’t feel persecuted for expressing empathy or outlining a minority opinion. I think that may be because, 1) I don’t attack others, and 2) I can see nuance, and 3) I don’t take a monolithic POV, and 4) I don’t belabor my point, and 5) I don’t think that discussing someone’s (very public) bad behavior constitutes “bashing”, “bullying”, “trashing” or “[insert infamatory label here]”. YMMV.
