I’ve already conditioned the High Jump bridle, so I can’t return it. I have ordered the Jump Off, which is legal for everything. I haven’t decided if I will keep the High Jump - hopefully she will like the Jump Off as much as the High Jump and then I will sell the High Jump and just use the Jump Off for all 3 phases.
Well the good news is that the Jump Off bridle arrived today and it is also lovely (nice leather and such squishy padding on the headpiece and nosebands) and my horse loved it (possibly more than she liked the High Jump bridle)! She really goes so much better in both the PS of Sweden bridles compared to the Micklem and the Micklem was a huge improvement over “regular” bridles!
I find it amazing how much the bridle fit obviously affects my horse’s (who tends to be rather sensitive about everything) comfort in the contact despite no changes in the bit - much less head tossing (especially in the canter when I think other bridles move too much and pressed on her ears) and she is so much more willing to stretch into the contact and remain there in a relaxed manner. There is also no manic ear rubbing the moment I get off and/or remove the bridle.
Anyway, I have now listed my High Jump bridle for sale on Ebay and FB in case anyone wants a deal on a basically new bridle!
