I wonder - can one put in a sponsorship agreement some sort of “you can’t sue us” clause?

Speaking as notalawyer, you can put all sorts of things in any agreement two parties are willing to sign, but that does not mean it is enforceable. Blatant disregard for food safety regulations that directly results in dead livestock/significant property damage probably falls under that category
