I’m way south of you but hit me up if you want to get lunch or go get an introduction to Philly or similar
Yes!!!
I’m pretty sure I know who you are, especially with the “closing on a farm info!” Did one of your near farm purchases fail a well test? I’m silver bay Teddy’s mom!
BTW, Bedminster is a township not a county. Pottersville neighbors Bedminster. County is Somerset.
Yes, that is me - bad well water killed our first deal, but all happens for a reason
Yes, there is a possibility to be in the main barn without full board, however the other smaller barns are situated very close to the main barn and are very very lovely as well! The owner put them in to meet the demand when the supply got lower and did so keeping in the quality of the rest of the facility!!
I really cannot say enough good things about Liberty. 100% a fantastic decision if you chose to go and it is impossible to find somebody who has a bad word to say about it!
I boarded at Liberty for many years. The guys have been with the barn owner forever, know what they are doing, and are absolutely fantastic. They take excellent care of the horses, are excellent workers, and do their jobs very well. Hard to find guys that can do the barn work, trailer in case of emergency, tack/untack, and also assist with medical issues.
Barn Owner take great pride in all of the horses and how they look. Will work on a custom feed program for your horse if needed, is extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of the horse business- from feed, training, trailering, etc. The barn owner is always there and is also wonderful in a case of emergency situation.
The farm itself is kept in excellent shape- the aisles are never dirty, stalls are never dirty. You can board in the main barn without being on full service, but the smaller barns are great too. I was in the upper barn for years, cute little 4 stall barn with private tack room and wash stall. Great view of the lower barn/fields- super peaceful.
Lots of trainers to pick from and if you have one that isn’t listed, as long as they have insurance and the Barn Owner approves, that trainer can come.
Honestly, for the area you are looking in- you won’t find anything comparable to Liberty. The location, facility, and family feel of the barn are hard to come by. The group of boarders are all very nice and there is no drama allowed at all - it’s not tolerated one bit. Some people show, some pleasure ride, etc. It’s a great mix of all types of people.
You are correct except that Pottersville is part of Tewksbury Township which is actually located in Hunterdon County.
Actually I stand corrected. We are both correct plus one.
Pottersville is an unincorporated community split between Bedminster Township in Somerset County, Tewksbury Township in Hunterdon County and Washington Township in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. (Taken from Google)
Thanks Mavs Mommy - never knew all that, despite having lived in Bedminster and having a horse that once lived in Pottersville!
Live and learn - at least on my good days I do.
