Multi-Tasking Riding Mowers

I’ll tell you what man…

I bought a lt2000 craftsman little riding mower when I lived more in the city for 850, came with a de thatcher. I bought a little dump cart. It will haul anything.

I’ve moved several cord of cut wood, several tons of logs, when I was building steps down a hill it hauled several tons of gravel. When I built my beds it hauled several tons of dirt. Hell, I pulled a couple dozen t posts with it around my fence line when I was starting to build the fence. I did use it to mow the pasture this year and it worked fine I went a little slower because I didn’t want to kill it.

All it asks for is some oil and a filter every fall when I put her away.

Actually I’m cutting an almost dead Ash down today and I’ll be bringing it out to haul that to the pile. If I didn’t have a gravely with a blade I’d get a blade for the rider and plow the drive with it.

I’ve seen tow behind for dragging arenas, and for grading the driveways.

I’m telling ya it’s a little beast!

We bought a commercial Gravely riding mower. I pull the sprayer and spreader with it. We mow our large front yard plus all the pens with it. I know you can attached something like a card to it, but it’s limited for weight. It’s been totally awesome. For larger stuff, we use a Kawasaki Mule, we clean our stalls and throw the stuff in the bed which can handle 800 lbs. We also put chips, feed, etc, back there. It had an electric lift so we don’t even have to work very hard. We drag the harrow with this. The Gravely would probably be fine also.

This thread is 9 years old!

I’ll probably be buying a garden tractor next spring, though.
