So I’m hijacking to ask about the polar opposite of MBP.
What about owners oblivious to the obvious?
Idjit in question had a pony mare & geldng.
Found her literally in tears, outside mare’s stall.
When I asked whassup, I got “I don’t know why she’s so cranky” 
Um… Mare was very much in heat.
Winking so wide you could stick your head in 
Not that I’m suggesting that as a diagnostic… 
Another time she was told by barnworker her gelding “had green stuff coming from his nose”.
She couldn’t be bothered to interrupt her dinner to check on the horse.
Stabled a 2-minute walk from the table.
I convinced her to take a look after dinner, went with her & RED ALERT! very clear case of Choke.
Then she didn’t want to “bother” her vet.
TG, I convinced her it was a necessary call. Horse had to be tubed to clear the choke.
This was not a first-time owner.
She continues to be blind to easily managed issues.
Horse has sand colic. She treats once with SandClear.
Horse is turned out in a sand pen.
Colics again.
This time she blames barn help for feeding alfalfa hay.
Hay fed is maybe 5% alfalfa.
She flies into a rage, proclaims NOONE EXCEPT HER IS TO FEED OR TURN OUT THIS HORSE!
Then leaves town for a long weekend.

I remember a barn owner telling one of the boarders was “going to fix him until she breaks him.” Evidently the womans gelding would get meds, etc whether he needed them or not.

I friend-divorced this moron 4yrs ago, but the Stoopid is reported to me regularly by my Faux Grandson, who does occasional work for the BO, who’s a mutual friend.
Why BO remains loyal to this waste of O2 is mystifying.

My mother keeps asking about a gal who worked for the last old trainer. When he died, it was not amicable. Major Train Wreck. I’d known guy for 10+ years and wasn’t invited to his funeral, that ugly. Stalking, theft, etc. Still “Do you ever hear anything of Sally?” No, no one has, no one wants to. The last person anyone wants to see or even discuss is Sally. EVER.
