Mares are SO great!
My mare, Colours, is so sweet, and she’ll be with me forever (I always say that nobody else would put up with her 
). I’ve had her for 4 & 1/2 yrs. I love all of her quirks(well… 
), but we trust each other, which is so great!
Then we got Lacey 1 & 1/2 yrs ago. She’s coming four, and a redhead! She’s growing on me, but she’s laid back and seems to have a great mind.
I don’t know if I could have anything but a mare anymore! I love them!!!

I love my mare too. I feel ashamed I have no pics of my horses on the computer right now. I have had mares for most of my life, the gelding I own right now is the first in 20 years. My mare is so wonderful and sensitive and she is just right in my pocket from the moment I go out to get her. If I whistle she comes in for me to halter her even though a halter is not a necessity even to saddle her. She is a bit “hot” but so smart and so loving. The only down side is that she is such a hussy when she comes in heat… so much so that she can hardly concentrate.

OHHH! IM DEFINITELY IN! I LOFF mu girl so much! Not to mention, I just picked up a lease on another mare, whom I love as well! There is NOTHING like a good mare!

I have never owned anything but mares, and go figure, I am looking at Chocomare’s mare now to take home with me some day soon.
Now gonna go blow my nose and try to stop crying.
Oh yeah. After all these years together our relationship has blossomed and we’re understanding each other real well. She’s a wonderful girl.
During the hard times people would say, “Mares…” in THAT way. Yep. But not in the way they thought. It was hormones and hormones and I’m glad we’re together.

My little lady is all sweetness. No mareish nastiness for her! We groom each other mare style–itchy withers. Although it takes all my nerve to let her use her teeth on my shoulder blades! Thank goodness for thick coats–mine!
She “lets” herself into other paddocks by rolling under the hot wire, since she is the “little miss social butterfly, doesn’t everyone love me” horse at the barn. She gives me 100%, enjoys a good udder scratch (hey, who doesn’t?), and shares my “warmblood” build. What more could you ask for?
I LOVE my chestnut Trakehner mare and I’m not afraid to say so!

Love my mares…spent my whole life on boyz wasn’t until 5 years ago I bought a MARE!!! Now I have THREE! LOVE THEM!

I love, love, love my girls! I started this thread awhile back. I think that about sums up my feelings for all my girls. I have 4 mares…I love how they like to be ‘prettied’. I can go out and brush them in the field and pull their manes and they just adore it. (I have even had them line up to be next!) You can’t always do that with the boys…what if someone is watching!
