I have heard the yoga pant thing, too … I haven’t really seen any at the goodwill, though, not sure where to look for them in the store, though. I should ask next time I go.
What stores sell yoga pants that are new? Big box stores?
Any store like target, kohls, tjmaxx etc will have tons and tons of yoga pants, in the section with all the other activewear.
I’ve always loved my Kerrits tights. They may not be show-worthy but they’re darned comfy for everyday riding. Yoga pants work too.
Equissentials! They custom make, are cool and hello! Deerskin! I have two pairs and can’t bear to wear anything else.
As someone with a 15.5 calf and upwards and probably beyond a 24" thigh - the smartpak pipers are my go to now that the ariat pro-circuits are discontinued. You could always check ebay for those, I would recommend them to anyone who needs a better leg fit.
I just sent back a pair of beautiful merlot SmartPak Pipers. I could not even pull them all the way up! The calf area was tighter than any hose I wear to work! I have Bradleys too that are too tight. I feel your pain Crone I want liposuction for my calves ( maybe my butt too) I have an old pair of Ovations that fit acceptably but still have to be yanked as soon as I mount.
I found some stretchy jeans…‘jeggings’ they are great for riding. just tuck them into my tall boots, good for all but the most intense sessions. They are actually loose around my calf, so something like that will work for you.
Oh yeah - I have some Jeggings too!! Some one asked me “where did you get those breeches - i like them!” last time I rode in them. I said “Target! For $15.99” hahahah
I got 2 pair for $30! I basically live in these things now…one pair is ‘good’ and when they get dirty, they go riding.
