Sir SpooksAlot - such a beautiful horse!

Fior and me camel lip

He loves to be scratched and is very expressive! He ha a very large personality. This is his mousy summer color.

Fior and me at show trot

A good 6-7 years ago at a QH show when we were helping him not lose his mind in new environments. I won a belt buckle! ** he’s not a QH.

Fior and me3
He’s lucky that he can be so sweet!

some times a dog has her horses, Sucha is the dog that prefers to be with horses as she grew up with horses

His coat variation is incredible. If you didn’t mention that, I would think you had a dark bay/black showing off his bridle and his lovely trot, a liver chestnut getting scratches and showing off the saddle pad, and a light chestnut with you holding his head. You’ve got 3 horses in one there. It looks like you two have a great connection.

I know, right?
I had him on supps for a few years and my vet has long said “that’s nice but don’t expect them to work with his coat”. None have. I’ve had him on copper, zinc, and did massive corrections with his diet (sent pasture samples out for analysis and modified the diet based on that) blah blah, he has always bleached the same amount. He lives 24/7 outside in his personal pasture with a run-in buddy. He’s pretty black in the winter and when he first sheds out in spring, and then turns that agoudi color in the summer. His points don’t change, but his body color does.

We’ve worked so hard on that connection, Oh so hard in hand and under saddle.

Gentling process. Ajax, one of my mustangs (he’s a ‘varnish’ appaloosa. 16h and i’m not sure how old…he was maybe 14ish when captured, so a stallion a long long time. They’re often harder/take longer to gentle. Turns out, he’s a big softie :kissing_heart:)

On this thread is easy, every one is worth a like click, how nice is that? :star_struck:

Oh, thanks! That’s Ben (Benwick) and he’s my North Forks Cardi baby out of my mare in the first photo. So half pony = twice the personality! (he has many opinions he will share with you) My Lovely Boy and so much fun.

So glad to have stumbled across this thread! Every single horse shared has been so beautiful, and the stories and memories shared even better!

This is my very long time lease horse. I could write a novel about how wonderful her owner is and the friendship we’ve formed, but an even longer one about this TB mare! She is way too smart, very food motivated, and is the exact opposite of in your pocket. For a while in the beginning I wasn’t even sure I liked her or that she liked me. But eventually she made the mare decision that I was worthy of her, and now I can’t imagine a version of my life where I didn’t have her as my best friend. (Please excuse the flashing in the bucking pic, couldn’t help myself. It’s just so her!)

I bet nobody here can claim they haven’t been shown this view of their horse(s)!

The nose speckles are so adorable.

I love this thread!
For a long time I couldn’t bring myself to post on it because I had just lost my mare. I bought her at the track when she was 3, and she was my partner for 21 years. It is hard to choose just a couple pictures of her. She was one quirky, athletic little thing and we had so much fun together.

Charm & Claire Hunter Pace 2nd place

My first mare (well, my sister’s SF mare) - true spitfire of a chestnut mare. I jumped her, my sister took her on 2-week treks.

And my little Morgan mare, who could do it all, like all Morgans
