The area rug makes the tack room so gorgeous!
Boots can be used decoratively! A long pole or a chain to wrap them around loosely, where they can dry. Horizontal or vertical. Maybe decorate the boots with sparkles?
how about a couple of old, decorative saddles on racks up high. like your floor covering. Will you have a chair in there? Can your horse peek her/his head in?
My tack shed is called The Little House.
I want that tack room !!! 
The sign on the door will be “Chateau de Taque”, with a smaller font underneath “translation: Tacky Chateau”.

I’ve ordered saddle racks for my saddles that I use, I don’t want too much in there making it look cluttered. I will have something to sit on.

i have quantity 3 of six-saddle racks, still in boxes for the past 3 years stuffed behind a couch. I’ve been working (only mentally!!lol) on cleaning out a shed for-to turn into a multi-purpose working shed…for years! There are two chest freezers, a refrigerator, a huge gun safe and a heavy workbench. There’s shelving along the walls and a loft. BUT, it’s been filled to the gills with junk. It’s where we put everything we no longer use. In about two weeks the auctioneer company is going to come and take away all the things from my dad’s old place and they will be removing everything (except safe and freezers/fridge) and i’ll be able to finally achieve my goal. Will be so nice to have all the saddles out of the house and feed room. Thinking of. putting in a tie rack outside under the pecan tree.
