NCDCTA 8/31 Labor of Love Breed Show Results

Lourdess qualified for Devon!!! This was her first show, she is not yet in the weight and condition we want, but she is getting there. She was Reserve Mare Champion, Reserve Mature Horse Champion and Reserve IBC Oldenburg Champion (to our stallion Sandro D).

Lourdess is not yet in the weight and condition we want, but she is getting there. I love how perfectly in sync she is with her trainer Danielle Veasy. We have about 400 photos of the two of them, they are in such perfect sync that Danielle literally disappears. Arthur and I love the connection between the two. Lourdess is a “mare”… she can be a real pill if the mood strikes her, and yet she gave everything that was asked of her yesterday. We are so thrilled with Danielle… we simply could not ask for more from a trainer. - Elaine

Reserve Grand Champion, Mature Horse Champion and Mare Champion was Sanibelle by Sir Donnerhall owned by Susan Craft.

Grand Champion was Radiance COF by Royal Prince owned by Donna Rowe - shown by Bruce Griffin.

The judge for this event was Janine Malone (beloved for her contributions to the sport). In the Grand Champion class the judge clearly loved this filly and even had Bruce move her a second time, to show her trot.

Reserve Filly Champion was De Luetje MF by Don Principe out of La Dolce Vita by Londonderry.

Reserve Young Horse Champion, Colt Champion, KWPN-NA IBC Champion, Series Carolina Cup Material Champion and Three Year Old Colt/Gelding Champion was Early Times by Good Times out of Versailles by Olympic Ferro. He also won the Under saddle classes Suitable to Become a Dressage Horse and Colt & Gelding Material (3-5 yrs)

Correction:
Grand Champion was Sanibelle by Sir Donnerhall and Reserve was Radiance COF by Royal Prince. I am not sure how I got that wrong. Janine did like Radiance COF very much and even gave her a 79.0 in the three year old filly class. It was the first show I had been to in years and it was a pleasure seeing everyone again. It was also a pleasure seeing Roberta Falk’s filly Rockette R out of EM Damarus the dam of the approved Hanoverian Stallion Rapture. She only did the material class.

At one point during the Mature Horse Championship I noticed all the horses were sired by P.S. stallions Sandro Hit, Sir Donnerhall and Lord Sinclair.
