Could you network to borrow a herding dog to aid in the trapping/rehoming effort? Good luck, OP! That’s quite the saga for you, but I’m sure the peacocks appreciate your efforts (even if they don’t realize it :))
Our next door neighbor has about 15 peacocks, including 3 or 4 enormous males. We have 2 smooth Collies. The Collies think that chasing the birds (encouraged by us) is wonderful sport. Collies are great at learning the boundaries of their property. They chase the peacocks until the birds fly over the four board fence between our property and our neighbors and then turn back.
By now, most of the peacocks have given up their uninvited visiting. And if ever they need a reminder, our male Collie is happy to sit on our side of the fence and give the birds the Collie Stare. That alone is usually enough to chase them back to their own yard.
