Need Advice Donating Mare

Finz, may I first apologize for not being more specific in my directed ranting while I crowned myself queen of the soap box lol. It was not intended specifically for you, as I certainly do not know the circumstances of your mares condition. With the given information now, I can definitely see the argument, but I had not gotten the full impression before then. I’m new here, and as such have not watched the rescue threads throughout the years. Yes, I’m also young and haven’t felt the sting of the dark side of horse ownership aside from sacrificing (maybe too much) for the health of my 7 horses, but I suppose when I make the decision to own, I go all in (as do you, clearly).

It just amazed me at how many people seemed to jump to euthanization, when like me, we didn’t even know the full story. She sounds like a lovely girl- hopefully the right home will present itself and be the proper fit for her future. She certainly sounds like she would be an asset somewhere to someone. I’m not sure where you are regionally, but if they dont arise in a timely fashion on their own accord, I’d be happy to help find someone who understands the time, treatment and care necessary to keep her as happy and healthy as she can be.

COTHers have rallied in usual fashion and the inquiries are rolling in.

I’m feeling great about her having a soft landing. Thanks for your kind words and for loving these 4-leggeds!

I have no experience but what about Virginia Tech? They have a WB breeding program.

I’ve had experience with several outfits. I won’t do it again. PM or email me for details.
