Need new barn shoes

Okay just curious… these ARE men’s right? I selected what would be my size in men’s, a 5.5, and the only colors available are mauve and a tan with pink soles, which seem distinctly, er, women’s shoes colors.

I recently got a pair of vessi tennis shoes - I leave them tied but they do require bending over to get on my feet. super lightweight and waterproof!

When I open the link I posted above, I don’t have any of those options. There is no size 5.5 option. There are no mauve or tan/pink options.

What do you see when you click the link? Different from below?

I know it shows greyed out, if you select a greyed out size it will show you the colors available in that size. Greyed out means the size isn’t available in that tan color.

I also don’t show what you have there. The smallest size available is 6.5. Nothing pink.

There are no more sizes to the left, this is as far as it goes.

Looking at the actual Merrell site, the smallest men’s size offered is 7.

I’m on a mobile device but the smallest size offered on mine is 6.5 and there are only 10 color options.

Awaiting arrival of my two pair as I type .

I see the 5.5 in Burgundy and the tan/pink that you see, but I think it must be women’s sizes. When you click on the different sizes in that link, they are all offered by different sellers, so I think it’s just an error in the listings.

Thanks for confirming what I suspected. As much as I know the men’s 5.5 would fit, I know I’d need to check the women’s 7.5 to verify they aren’t too narrow. May have to find some stores that carry these.

Merrell doesn’t make the men’s in a 5.5. What you’re seeing is a women’s shoe.

I mean in general, a men’s 5.5 will always fit, not so for women’s 7.5 because sometimes they make them too narrow or the instep too low/tight.

The Keens arrived today and they are great!

Which model did you get?

Merrells do run narrow in my experience.

I originally ordered them from cabela’s but then saw they were WAY cheaper on Amazon

Another vote for sloggers!! I have been wearing them for years. Not expensive, long lasting.

I came to check and yeah they don’t have men’s that go small enough. Le sad. Other than some roper mocs that I usually use to ride with half chaps, my barn boots are limited to the too-hot insulated muckboots and the worn out Justins that hurt my feet even with insoles. The Twisted X was divine but only lasted me a year before splitting where the toe bends. The ropers are great but since I ride in them I usually take them and the half chaps off together, and since I started riding a friend’s horse and am actually riding… I may just get another pair of those depending on price.

ETA these are what I have and they really are damn comfy but I always thought horribly ugly until I started wearing them this spring without the chaps and realized they were really WERE very comfy and who cares?
