Need some jingles, please!

In Sunday School, Itty Bitty roots for the whale, the Philistines, and whoever else is supposed to be the baddie . . .

Oops, bad reference then?

Well, she takes after her mum (me), who attended Sunday school exactly twice, and was then summarily kicked out.

My parents were told not to bring me back after I argued with the teacher about Jonah and the whale. I explained to her (in my best 6-year old precocious manner) that whales don’t typically eat humans, and that the digestive juices in the whale’s stomach would have digested Jonah long before he could escape.

I was kicked out of Sunday School, too! The teacher told my (non-churchgoing) parents that I didn’t have any knowledge of the bible and didn’t seem to want to gain any!

Maybe we can start a club!

My parents were a little embarrassed, but oh well. I don’t think they really ever wanted to go to church anyway, IIRC it was just something my dad’s brother wanted them to do. Mom grew up in a pretty strict religious household and had no desire to go back to anything of the kind.

Miss Taffy has got to learn that other kinds of canned cat food are edible other than the one specific brand/flavor she likes. She did eat what I put in her crate last night, at least. Or else she hid it under her blanket. Now that I think about it, that is a possibility.

Hey I can join this club! From a young age, my parents would go to their Sunday school class and send me on my way to mine… I was smart enough to hide in a closet until I heard the kids walking back!

I left Taffy in the bathroom today. Yesterday when I got home, I found her under the dresser, with Hammie laying in front of it, blocking her from being able to get out. He wasn’t actively trying to get to her . . . just laying there, like a great big tabby doorstop.

I thought she might prefer to be a little quiet today.

Poor Taffy… lol

At least Hammie was a benevolent bully or maybe he was protecting her from someone else.

I hope she has a calmer day today and is feeling better in general.

If anyone is wondering how Taffy is - I think she’s settling in.

Shes so pretty. How is she? She looks nice and comfy here.

She’s actually adjusting to life indoors pretty well. She gets along with everyone so far, and is learning to play with the toys. And learning not to bite me …

How does Itty Bitty feel about her?

What a pretty, precious girl! I’m so glad she found you. :kissing_heart:

So far, she’s ignoring her. In fact, I’ve seen her, Taffy, and Hammie playing together, chasing up and down the hall and tossing toys.

Taffy finds it hard to jump up on the bed - the ataxia is permanent - but she can do it.

Wow! That’s so fast… amazing!

I’m glad she’s playing and cavorting.

Yeah, she’s still pretty unbalanced, but I think this is as good as she will probably ever get. She doesn’t let it stop her. She was pretty unhappy for the first 7-10 days about it, but now she just seems to accept it and move on. I moved her crate from the laundry room into the office with the rest of them last night, and she was quite happy to join them in there, so she seems to be taking it all in stride.

What do Mick and Maximus think of her? Are they just ignoring her? I know it’s not their first rodeo.

What a sweet girl. No luck finding her a home?

What a stupid question… never mind. She’s found the perfect home.

If you ever need a dribble to pay for all the kitties that need you, please reach out. I wish you had more resources where you live. It gets expensive fast.

How’s Ms Taffy doing? Fully out and about or still separate at times?

She is fully integrated into the glaring … itty bitty has tried to chase her a few times, but I I got on to her severely.
