Negro offspring

Anybody have one? I know of a nice yearling gelding and was curious of what his babies have to offer.

I have two from different mares: one a yearling (sold), and the other a 2012 foal. First off, I have to say these two boys have been among my favorite foals; they are pleasant, interesting and rewarding to be around and handle and I attribute that to what I see as above average equine intelligence. They both have been quick learners and strive to please. Even though the older one was timid at birth, once he understood he was safe and in good hands, he became the most obedient of babies. The youngest one was born with an adult brain: truly an old soul. As both of the mares are correct individuals that produce correct foals, I am not surprised that the two are very well put together as well. Both have very nice vertical neck placements and this result in both foals can be attributed in part to Negro, as my mares differ a bit in this regard. Both foals move in uphill self-carriage, have improved loin connections and canter mechanics. My mares are different types; one more rectangular and the other towards square, and I can say that Negro didn’t add length in body type or legs in either foal; they have their dam’s body type/size as well as mostly being influenced by the dam in the shape of their heads. Neither did he add or take away much substance, perhaps a tad refining influence seen in my two, but again, they are very much their dam’s “type”. I re-bred to Negro this year for a 2013 foal; I would very much like a Negro filly!

Valegro is a good example of his offspring.

Funny timing, I saw this mare just the other day while surfing the web.

I remember Uforia when she was competing. Nice mare.
