New alternative to Tildren?

Have just had a third injection of Osphos for a horse with one moderate instance of Kissing Spine. I have seen a significant improvement in attitude, comfort and willingness to work. We will keep up with it. 400.00.

OsPhos-viable alternative to Tildren when treated lameness of bony origin. I’ve used it for my horse. The result shows that OsPhos is similar to Tildren in terms of reduction in lameness and in time of onset.

I had Tildren given to my horse in October of 2013, when he started showing signs of ringbone. After a month off, he was sound (he wasn’t unsound to the eye before, but I could feel it) and has been ever since.

He was also put on a 1/4 tab of Previcox daily, but he’s been off of that for about 2 months now (order issue turned into a mini-experiment) and he’s still sound.

He also was needing hock injections every 8 months, haven’t had any in the past 2 years.

Gelding was 18 at the time of injection, had been a jumper (up to 1.40) and had a strong dressage background competing to PSG before I bought him.

ETA- he stopped jumping/competing when he got the Tildren. Vet said he could come back and begin competing at the lower level (2’6-3’) but I decided he deserved a comfy retirement  He is still ridden weekly and I let him jump one of our x-country jumps a handful of times a year

Any more updates on horses given Osphos? Interested because I just had my gelding done and wondering how others have faired from this!

I had my foot sore (laminitic/navicular syndrome) gelding done in November and I’m seeing improvement.

We did a regional perfusion of Tildren almost two years ago and it seemed to help. We opted for the regional rather than the other for reasons of cost and to avoid some of the possible side effects.

About four weeks ago we did the Osphos shots. No adverse effects other than a little discomfort (occasional pawing) for the first fifteen minutes or so. I also started using silicone pour in pads since our footing is not very good. She has been sound and happy for the last couple of weeks. It cost me $350.
