Well… I’m gonna read it. But then, I’ve also read one Gossip Girl, all the Princess Diaries, and all the Twilight books. Can I use the excuse that I teach high school English? Please?
Doesn’t everyone remove the bit and then snap the lead rope to the cheek piece?
I thought that was the new fad…
why is wearing a scarf to the barn asking for natural selection to work its magic? Its cold in the winter and they keep my neck warm!!
I’ll probably read them too…its research…yeah, thats it. Research…

Because clearly, you are going to get your scarf caught on something and it will break your neck! I wish I would have known that before I started riding forty years ago.
Looks ungodly horrible, but I’ll totally read it!

I believe she’s the mayor of NYC daughter
you don’t say!
The synopsis did not really sound all that appealing, I have to say.
A billionaire’s daughter? hmm. Plot sounds pretty contrived.
Jilly Cooper’s Riders will never be topped, but then it’s not a kids book, and it’s about show jumping.

I am so there.
oh the shame.
OGM hangs head and sheepishly admits that she wants to read it too… I am sure it won’t replace The Show Gypsies or Riders but I will read anything horsey!
So funny, me and my mom (both writers, and she’s published a few young adult novels) have seriously thought of writing a series set in the A circuit for years now. Looks like they beat us to it! It looks awful and I agree the cover is horrendous, but I’m not going to lie, I’ll probably read it LOL!
The sample pages weren’t so bad! I too want to read it!
I hope they were fake daffodils in the jumps. Because they don’t bloom in summer. Just sayin’.
Product placement anyone? That will date the book faster than anything.

You can read the first few pages here.
Well… that was a nice distraction from studying from finals.

Yes they were, I made it through one paragraph.
Recently my benchmark for this type of book is The Perfect Distance. I don’t think Last Junior Year or Dark Horse had quite the same material.
 Yeah that was pretty bad. And I SO love trashy horse books. I’m kind of disappointed.

Bloomsbury USA is a subsidiary of Bloomsbury and is definitely not a self publisher. The book is on the opening page of Bloomsburykids.com.
And Catherine Hapka is an experienced children’s/YA author. Why anyone felt the need to have Georgina Bloomberg’s name above hers, I have no idea…
