New decision in Holstein
Wow, some unbelievable attitude here! I care very much about the breeders - thats where I hope to find my future top quality horses! I have had OTTB’s in the past, nice horses but couldn’t hold a candle to the purpose bred horses I’ve had more recently. (Actually looked at one of Kytzke’s - quite nice! Bought from another North American Breeder, and I hope they will be in business for a long time)
As far as the ammy market - I think ammys need top quality too. My daughter did the Junior Jumpers on a wonderful SF mare-who had scope to spare. That scope to spare is critical. Most juniors and ammys will make mistakes, and that scope can keep them out of trouble.
Funny, many of the horses I’ve seen on here couldn’t hold a candle to the nicest OTTBs I’ve seen and owned.

I will support breeders who are class acts and are actually knowledgeable about genetics. Fred for example is a class act all of the way. I support breeders who are not barn blind about their horses and can take objective criticism – because that’s what breeders need to be able to do.

I wanted to quote your previous post, which seems to have been deleted, but was quoted by Kyzteke in post #735. Your hostility toward “breeders” is shocking.

Are you looking for a horse and having bad experiences?

No, I am an adult who expects breeders to act like adults and show at least a little business-like decorum.

I don’t think that comment was deleted, but I’m not going to go back and look for it, either.

Nope, I have not been looking for a horse, although I probably will be at some point in the future. I already have two horses. As far as my “shocking” hostility – well, several people have lied on here about me. How would you like it if people on here lied about you? I don’t support people who do that. Nor do I support breeders who advocate close inbreeding, for that matter, or act like they are doing me a gigantic favor by breeding horses (especially when I am not or ever would be interested in buying their horses).

The situation reminds me of when people defend farriers who have crappy attitudes. Really annoying – especially when it’s the crappy farriers who have the crappy attitudes.

OK… I didn’t realize that your hostility was for personal reasons.
When you wrote about “supporting” breeders, I misunderstood and thought that “support”= “purchase horses from”.

GAP are you so bored that you feel the need to start it all over again? I have argued many times with people here that disagree with me, with a lot of respect, so have many other here. The reason all these responds you do not like are targeted as you is that you do not express opinion, you simply point people wrong, and you show your low level of knowledge and experience by your very own posts.

By the way, no one here argued, even remotly, in favor of close inbreeding, although it is another matter that is strongly debated within some breeders communities. Another topic you mixeup with many other concepts. No one impied that they do you any favour by breeding. If everyone one around you seem to have a crapy attitude, breeders, farriers, and so on. have you ever tried to put yourself back in question?

Well, it does, in the end. If I can’t find what I want at the track (and knowing the right people really helps), I know there are some breeders I would not seek out.

I wish there were a lot more breeders like Fred. Because a) she is a kind person and b) she stood an amazing Thoroughbred stallion and produced many very high quality horses.

Casall is one of the best breeding stallions in the world. His offspring are in every major GP in the world and so many more are coming.
I knew I had a good “eye” for horse flesh! They were so beautiful and talented AND they looked so rideable.

You may be of adult age but that’s it.

Good on you ! This is what makes him an unbelievable sire . He makes most of his offspring like this.

I just had an exceptional colt last week by Casall / Canturo / Acorado / Ramiro. Very pleased with his quality.

I wouldn’t sell you the worst I ever bred. I have more respect for the horse than that. You have shown next to no knowledge regarding anything equine and selling to you would be the complete dead end for the horse in my opinion. I’m sure others feel the same.

Casall is very impressive in photos, AND on paper; 40+ licensed sons, 44? premium mares and so many of his get competing successfully.

If I am reading correctly, his fee seems reasonable!

Not fair though… I want to see your colt (photo)!
Can’t blame you though,if you don’t want to share here.

You are correct…why would anyone share anything here ? So GAP and the likes can rip it apart with their vast knowledge ?

I will be happy to share with you. PM me your email

Yes! Casall is an amazing stallion. I am lucky to own two young stallions by him and you couldn’t ask for more. Not only he produces beautiful horses with A LOT of jumping talent, but also great minds and rideability. He sure will be the best jumper stallion. For me he already is

They’re not the only two horses I’ve owned or ridden. But go ahead and act like a snot. Very professional of you.

Well, there is only one Arab cross and three Appy crosses right now so we will just have to hope someone else comes along. The rest are Warmbloods and we all know you aren’t interested in those.

Several posts ago you mentioned that you had gotten OTTBs, twice. That is what I was referring to. I do find your “talking down” to breeders who have actually “walked the walk” makes me uncharacteristically snarky.
