I have a cat that is the most food motivated animal I’ve ever known. She even eats dog bones at the vet.

We had some drama last week. Our four year old, bottle baby, cat was insanely jealous and stopped eating. He has interstitial cystitis set off by stress. So, he spent the night at the vets and came home more comfy. We altered the routine and he’s much better. He’s coming around now. He even plays with the kitten occasionally. It really sucked that he got so sick, though.

I truly feel your pain.
My Cheeto has suffered 3 rounds of FIC, last resulting in a 3 night stay at the vet for catheterization 
I hope your guy learns that Miggy is now a Fact of Life & decides he’s not worth stressing over
