New horse

The website is fake. The story is fake. Check out the image urls on the website. They are named as screenshots taken on 9-13-16.

Someone is really bored and having fun with us.

http://commissiongorilla.com/g/1606/9756/

This whole thing was a terrible clickbait scam???

Some people have so much time on their hands. Iā€™d like to send them some of my deadlines just to keep them busy.

How sad is it that I am happy it is a scam and some poor crippled horse isnā€™t going to have to get his balls whacked so he can carry a clueless person straight to the hospital?

Iā€™m annoyed that someone can create websites to support a fake story but couldnā€™t construct the sentences and paragraphs that would have rendered such proof unnecessary.

Iā€™m hoping this is the same scammer responsible for the tazycat/sassy45 BS, tooā€¦ who screen shotted a headshot of her OTTB palomino.

The website is not fake. That is my great uncleband he is a legit person, a legit breeder and trainer. And those little boys in the picture are my little cousins. The horse at the top of the home page is diah with her foal. And again there are the photos of diah and ali and the picture under ali rearing is of ali with my great uncle rick. I dont know why you all think its a scam or fake. As far as images on his web page being screenshots? I dont know. I know he os not very computer savy and i know he doesnt update the web page like he would like to. As far as ali goes, my uncle purchased him in Georgia when he was weaned. After he has foaled his mother stepped on his leg which caused his leg to have a slight turn to it once it healed. I know he has had it examined and xrayed and it didnt cause any damage to the bone or joints itself. Again you all can think its fake or click bate or a scam whatever you want but it is not. I simply was asking questions about first aid kits and trailers and its turned into something wayyy off topic. Yes ali is saddle broke or takes a saddle. He will be started on riding after he is healed from being gelded. And personally id appreciate it if you didnt attack my uncle like that as he is an innocent bystander and is a amazing guy. And it really bothers me when people want to try and discredit his work when they know nothing of him. I dont have to prove anything to anyone. And i honestly have contacted admin asking them to delete this thread. As you all have taken it too far and i dont appreciate you bad mouthing my uncle.

What ever that website is, is not his home page. His website is completely different.

You misunderstand. No one believes this is your uncle.

Because it is not a fake story or a fake website. Come spring time i will come back and be sure to post ali. I wasnt even the one who put a link to his website. People went out of their way to find it. I in no way shape or form even put my uncles info or website out there.

You dont have to. But i know and my family knows that he is my great uncle from my mothers side. His mothers name was faye which is how i got my middle name faye from my great grandma and my grandma. Again i honestly do not have to prove anything to anyone. You all can be petty.
At 13 years old, heā€™s used to not having a job, other than breeding mares. Itā€™s going to be harder, rather than easier, to break him to ride, because heā€™s not even green broke at the age of 13. This would be the same whether he was a 13 year old unbroken gelding.

Some horses are gelded at a later age and itā€™s not a big deal. Other horses never really forget that they used to ā€˜do the deedā€™ successfully. Add this to the fact that heā€™s not broke at 13. This could make it even trickier to get him broke.

Add the fact that he has a deformed leg/old injury. He may not stand up to what it takes to be broke. If he starts having pain, heā€™s going to let you know by ā€˜badā€™ behavior.

And then add to this the fact that you havenā€™t saddle broke a horse before.

So now do you understand why people are telling you to pass on this horse ? You are not setting yourself, nor the horse, up for success.

Iā€™m not saying it canā€™t be done. Iā€™m saying it could be VERY challenging.

The odds are not really stacked in your favor.

If you are that crazy about this horse, do yourself a favor and get a good trainer who can evaluate him and see if itā€™s even feasible at this point to break him and train him. Then listen to what they tell you. If they tell you that itā€™s not going to work, then prepare that youā€™ll have a nice pretty pasture pet for the next 15 or 20 years.
I am that crazy about this horse. And i think bringing a trainer along to meet him is a good idea. I will definitely look more into it and see if i can find one to come travel with us or find a trainer in ohio to come out and check him out with us. If this horse is as crazy and unwilling as some people like to think, then i simply walk away with a different horse.
He first offered me diah and then offered me ali as a stallion. And once i told him i wanted him as a companion he said hed have him gelded. He has a lot of time energy and money invested into this horse. I have absolutely zero problems with asking a professional trainer for help.
This horse really means that much to me. Not everyone believes in the same things but i have a vert strong connection with this horse. And i know when i go see him it will just be right. There have been so many signs pointing towards going and getting this horse. No matter how much training and work this horse needs, i am 1000% committed to getting this horse.

I am not far from Xenia, where you uncle lives. I literally drive straight through it on my way back and forth to PA. Iā€™d be happy to coordinate meeting you and looking at the horse. I also have tons of experience trailering my horses back and forth from here to PA so perhaps I can offer advice after seeing him (not an offer to drive him to Florida, for the record).

Perhaps someone knows a trainer closer to that area in Ohio?

This thread has taken an interesting turn and I gotta say, I ainā€™t mad about it.

Carry on, ladies.

So he doesnā€™t update his website very often but happened to put up a whole bunch of photos that are screenshots taken four days ago which also happen to be the only photos of said horses. Roll-on troll.

Oh I know. I am so pleased.

What a dedicated troll. Hey, if youā€™re gonna do something you might as well go all the way with it, so bully for her!

Fyi, thereā€™s this one in horse care that is not yet a trainwreck: http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showthread.php?504155-Bringing-a-horse-from-the-north-to-the-south

That would be awesome. We plan to travel to ohio early spring as long as the snow and ice have subsided. The only reason i came here was to honestly get helpful insight. We almost have sitting arrangements fitted for the kids and animals. Its just a matter of waiting until spring is here and picking an exact date. I know my uncle isnt able to do anything training wise with him right now as hes sick with pneumonia. But heā€™s going to start him once heā€™s feeling better and ali is heales from being gelded. Heā€™s comfident that ali is trainable. And i trust his judgement. After all he knows this horse better than anyone else as hes raised him. As for trainers here Iā€™ve been looking around and just really trying to get a feel on what trainer i feel comfortable with.

But honestly i know we have our work cut out for us and id like to be as knowledgeable as possible. Which is why ive come here and why ive been trying to ask as many questions as possible. Aside from the nasty remarks previously, i really just wanted to get as much information as possible and prepare for our upcoming adventure.

Why hasnā€™t this thread been shut down and the OP banned yet?
