New Kid on the Board...

AET01. This is undoubtedly the best equine related board around but a great community of friends. There are a lot well discussed topics in “our library” i.e. the archives that are accessible via the search funcition. The book suggestions are great but I want to make sure that you realize a wonderful thing available, for free, to all patrons of public libraries. It’s called the Interlibrary Loan. If your local library does not have a book you want ask the librarian about an interlibrary loan. They look it up in the database and the book will turn up somewhere. It can take a couple weeks for it to arrive but it will and it’s free! Give them a whole list and put in your requests for a bunch of them. It is very cool, the last book I got this way was found in a library in Nebraska and was in my hands in a week. For free. They do videos too!

Welcome! I feel bad for being one of the last to drop in and say hi, but some of us cough cough can’t sit by the computer all day. Hope your parent’s are ready for some new addiction to the internet! Keep posting! I can’t wait to get to know you better, if You have ANY questions, feel free to ask!

A good ride is one where you dismount voluntarily

Welcome AET01.

Is that pronounced eight-oh-one? Well, that’s how I’m pronouncing it anyway.

I appreciate the warm welcomes.

Kiger-I think you should know me!
msj-You flatter me. Lol!
dbtoo-Are you sure?
Kellybird-How bout I say I like you all?

Cool! Portia - Amanda is the top step warmer on on the “outcast” porch. She’s cool, she’s funny, she’s eager, and dangit she lives too darn far away!

Remember, haha, the SEARCH is your friend!!! hahaha

Uh huh uh huh, 8-0-8 needs love …

(Thanks for making me think of that song by Blaque)

AET01 - you are funny. I hope your physical location doesn’t make you too cynical. If it does, you can always get a job writing for “Daria!” LOL!

Have you looked into joining the Pony Club? (www.uspc.org)
How about local instructors? Are there any? Post your town name, specifically, and you may find that someone is right under your nose. FWIW, I do know a great gal in Madison, WI, who events.

p.s. Change your sig to be grammatically correct by saying “look FOR my name at Rolex.”

Welcome! Obviously you haven’t taken Wiglet’s advice. So now, you are stuck.

Mah name’s Bond. JamesBond. Okay, it’s not really. My name is actually Amanda. You can call me Amanda or AETO1 for all I care. My user name stands for my initials, I just put the 01 in for no reason. I’m 13 years old and am going into 8th grade in the fall. I live in NE Wisconsin (where it’s all dairy, dairy, and ,well, whatever’s going on, I guess) in a small unincorporated town with maybe 500 people. Barrel o’ fun.

Now for the interesting stuff:

I’ve been riding for maybe 2-3 years. I started Western, didn’t really have a choice. Then in the beginning of last summer I rode English and needless to say Western became a far behind 2nd. But I still ride Western once in awhile. My love is jumping but I like doing whatever I’m doing on horseback. I don’t have a horse so I ride at my friends house down the street. I ride either Soup or Chip.

Newsbreak from Amanda’s Boring 4:09 News…
This just in,
Soup: A 15 y.o horse, 15.2 hand, bay horse. Breed unknown. Owners are guessing Connemara/TB cross.
Chip: a 23 y.o., 16.1 hand, leopard appaloosa.
We now bring you back to your regularly schedules post.
I’ve never taken a lesson in my life but it’s gotten to the point lately I need to otherwise I’ll screw up my position forever. I want to compete at the Rolex or atleast a advanced event. I’ll settle for jumpers too though.

Hmm. That’s about it for me. No I’m not a troll. Just a person who has lurked awhile. Hope I’m welcome here!

See ya!

There is a PC in a major town town about 25 miles away from us but I’m not sure where it’s at. There are some barns around us but I haven’ checked them out that much. We’re building a garage this summer so it wouldn’t be until next year anyway.

I’ll see if I can post the town on here.

nice to see you over here as well.

She’s a great kid whom I admire for her sensitivity and desire to do good for our equine friends…

Now if she would just fix that Rolex statement!lol

Don’t get stuck in the sludge if you’re that confident in your ride!
