Anyway for posts, I would not use t-posts with non-electric fence because they have a tendency to run into them and impale themselves even if it’s hot. Those caps are nice looking but basically it’s a piece of lego versus your horse’s entire weight. Rarely fatal, always expensive and gory.
I’ll only ever use t-posts if the are not only capped, but sleeved as well. Yes, that makes them as $$ as a wood post (or more), but if the goal is for them to be temporary, then that’s the better option.
My WB severed his extensor tendon sliding into one of 5 t-posts on the property where he was boarded. A cap wouldn’t have done anything for that
