Yes Nootka I am so very excited about my Bon Balou xSpring Silk foal next ‘spring’. Hoping for a filly but will take healthy of either sex!
Actually I am excited about all 3 foals that are due next spring…one Bon Balou, one Freestyle and one Banderas.
I read/speak only ‘un peu français’ unfortunately…handicapped I am!
So will have to get the gal who does my web page, who is pretty fluent in french, (she lived in Montreal as a young person), to inquire for me.

Have you thought about non WBs at all? It would depend on your mare’s type, but if you are looking for a refiner, there are excellent pinto American Saddlebreds standing in the USA.
We breed them here in Australia for dressage, and imported a lovely homozygous pinto stallion who is producing lovely types with super temperaments, fronts and movement.
The oldest is a 2 year old, she went for warmblood assessment as a yearling with Tonne Bockmann giving her 8’s for type, topline and front.

We are obviously not in your locale but our stallion’s sire is in the USA and he is a very consistent producer to the right type of mare, produced a lot of champions at national and world’s levels - not necessarily the traditional sports but the qualities transfer across nicely to the more traditional disciplines
In my younger days I rode some saddlebreds…alas no pintos<grin>. Had a lot of fun.
However I breed to sell my foals, and there is a very strong bias against saddlebreds, at least here in Canada, in the jumper/dressage market.
Foals sell best with pretty ‘traditional’ bloodlines…at least as traditional as tobiano pinto gets!
I am looking to use one or two European tobiano Warmblood stallions via frozen in the spring if all goes well.

That surprises me, our pinto Saddlebreds are sold when they hit the ground (or in this year’s case, before they are bred).
I’m loving this thread. 100 years ago I bred a few pinto warmbloods. They were considered a bit freakish back then! I remember very nearly buying some Rainbow semen (I had a VHS video tape of him that I nearly wore out!) but couldn’t find a vet here that was knowledgable enough to give frozen semen a go.
I moved away from funky colours but never really got it out of my system.
Lately I have been thinking about breeding another WB pinto and this thread is very informative.
Chess M was the horse I was hoping to use. I would have liked to have seen more of what he produces. What happened to him in Australia?

So Palladio, as a grandson of Samber, can be crossed back to many horses with Samber back in their pedigree…just depends on how far back it is on your mare…he is the kindest stallion ever and doesn’t jump to shabby either, lol!
Our two younger stallions do get the Samber even further back…
Palldio Blu CF, homozygous for pinto, is Palladio o/o premium Rainbow dam.
At the 70 day test right now we currently have Painted CF who is Palladio x a premium Gonzo I x TB dam…we’re super excited about having the Gonzo I lines in there as that guy was one of my all time favorites and his mother is just a gem!
Don’t know if those boys get the Samber far enough back for you but they both have that lovely Palladio way about them…I know Pallido Blu’s very first foal was born this year from an Art Deco mare and she is just stunning. That was an amazing cross and did double up on Samber!
We were getting Painted started this year so didn’t breed any mares to him. I’m really eager to see what he puts on the ground!
