You are so very wrong. You can shank on a horse all you want if you think it results in a quiet, well mannered, happy horse. I prefer kinder, more humane methods. I’ve never had the checkbook to buy a finished horse, and always made them up out of OTTBs or barely started youngsters. Click the link - this horse doesn’t look real easy to handle does he? I’m sure the handler could put a chain shank on him and yank the crap out of him, but look at what method works much better.
