I actually don’t trail ride him, I do arena work with him. He would probably be happier out an a trail because he’s used to that.
OH!!! Well then, i guess i would want to know: What do you get out of it?

I guess just having a horse to ride often, I’m not allowed to canter him or jump him alone. And he bucks just in the trot. Thanks for everyone’s responses I’m going to look for a different barn/lease/horse to ride.

UPDATE: I’ve told my trainer I would like to end the lease. Thanks everyone for your help!

In some ways this has been a good learning experience for you.
Now that you are a little further along in riding, you know what you want and don’t want and what you need.
Also you have found that you can assert yourself and don’t have to settle .
