NRHA approves Sedivet for competition (WTF)

I’m beyond mad that reining horses can be drugged with the sedative Sedivet (romifidine) 30 minutes before running pattern at NRHA sanctioned events. Money and ribbons take precedence over correct training and horsemanship. Your horse is not a happy, willing partner give him or her a shot of sedivet and you will have a compliant animal; robbed of his/her ability to show displeasure, pain or any other perceived displeasure. Thanks, never thought to look at Off Course. Looked at Western, and thought Horse Care would reach a bigger cross section of horse owners and riders.
