Nuno Oliveira

I have just put up a new clip of Nuno Oliveria on You Tube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WF0AaUaQFf0

It has taken months to get the DVD produced professionally and at great cost, but now it has been done.

I thank you all for your interest and enthusiasm in regard to this project and hope you enjoy and learn from the DVDs as much as I have and still do.

A amazing aspect of Nuno’s teaching is that when you reach a certain stage in your riding and go back to watching or reading him, you go; Now I know what he means and then further down the track another piece falls into place and you find yourself saying: Now I know what he means. It will never stop, the knowledge and the learning… that is the power in the Master’s teaching. Its as if one can initially understand a message on one level, then later go back and realize it has a deeper meaning at a more advanced level of understanding or experience.

Its as if he makes us work by educating ourselves, when we are ready to increase our knowledge.

This is where his Genius lies in his teaching

There are two DVDs in the set. The first is of Nuno Oliveira riding and training a stallion over 4 days and runs approximately 2 hours. He is speaking English and the subtitles are in English, Portuguese, French and German.

The second DVD is of Nuno Oliveira teaching group lesson and also runs for about two hours. He is speaking English but there are no subtitles.

The price for the two DVDs Is $112 Australian, which includes shipping, and taxes. For further details you can contact me at.

Awesome! More Nuno for me to watch and bookmark.

Thank you!

selling allowed?

I thought peddling sales was not allowed in the forum…

It’s not. Watch for moderator intervention.

Give it a rest ESG, she is not trying to sell stuff, she wants to share something that she has been working on that matters to her. There is a lot to learn from Nuno Oliveira and not much footage of the man. I for one appreciated that she shared the info.

You seem like you are always looking for the negative in life.

VERY little footage and MUCH to learn. I treasure the little snippets she posts. If it were closed captioned, I’d be buying the DVDs.

Eileen

Personally i must say though that the ‘kangaroo in classroom’ video is my favorite- smart lil dickens wasn’t he!

That’s a lovely snippet - the horse is light, fluid, and effortless. It’s a shame we don’t see more dressage like that.

Hi Roan.

I think your definition of close captions and Oz definition of Sub titles are the same.

In the first DVD every thing he said is also shown in text at the bottom of the film. You can choose from English, Portuguese, German and French language.

ESG. I know I should not advertise on this board but just to let you know, it is very doubtfull that I will ever balance the books on this project, but that is not the point.

The point being -----TO SHARE KNOWLEDGE ------

And for your information, no matter where I teach or for how long, I will NEVER charge anymore than $35.

Again> its all about sharing knowledge.

Kind regards

Kylie.

you’re still advertising something you have for sale. the rule doesn’t have exceptions by price or profit, and i don’t think dvd’s of nuno have a special status as a sale item that’s allowed.

HI SLC ,

I have been remiss in thanking you.

It was your ignorance and vicious comments in regard to Nuno Oliveira and Classical Dressage (2 years ago) that motivated me on this journey. And I thank you as it has been a wonderfull journey, and I am learning so much.

If you give me your Name and address (which I promise to keep confidential) I will send you the DVD set, Nuno Oliveria: In HIS Own Words, free of charge.

I also extend to you (and anyone from COTH) if you ever find yourself traveling to Western Australia, I offer you free accomadation and free Classical Dressage lessons.

I look forward to hearing your review of the DVDs

Kind regards

REALLY? That’s awesome! How about the rest of the DVDs?

You’ve posted to the Classical list, right? I don’t remember seeing anything recently.

Eileen

because i don’t care for how mr olivera rode and trained and taught, doesn’t make me vicious or ignorant, i don’t call you vicious and ignorant, i just say i don’t agree. all it means is that i look at it differently than you do. that is not a crime. and i am not alone - not everyone likes every rider, and not everyone gives nuno the same status you do. he is a very popular rider in some circles, and not in others.

A amazing aspect of Nuno’s teaching is that when you reach a certain stage in your riding and go back to watching or reading him, you go; Now I know what he means and then further down the track another piece falls into place and you find yourself saying: Now I know what he means. It will never stop,

I’m sure that’s true but it also applies to whoever you train with.

Kylie, you are Oz-some!!

As usual, thanks to a couple of posters, the dressage forum is living up to its reputation. I would like to see proper use of capital letters and punctuation - makes all the nasty comments so much easier to read.

Nuno is pretty well respected world wide, I’d say.

can i have slc’s free copy since she is too awesome to accept it?

His method of training is so much more appealing to me r/t the more German style of training with a lot of racing around. JMHO

You know I used to watch N.O. train people and work horses, and rode horses which came from him. And although one can draw issue that he was very quiet as a teacher, or smoked through lessons, or alot of other (negative) things, I have to say I know of no horseman that did not respect the his talent and horses (from any school no matter how different from him/his), and who did not enjoy watch him ride as well as riding them. Although he may be as different as the various 4 schools ‘flavors’ were from each other, mutual respect between horsemen was always given.

If you give me your Name and address (which I promise to keep confidential) I will send you the DVD set, Nuno Oliveria: In HIS Own Words, free of charge.

May I have slc’s free dvd since she doesn’t even like Olivera?

PS oops I didn’t see class’s request before I posted. I’d still like a free dvd though.
