So what do you specifically not like? Working young horses has been refered to, that would very valid. I have not seen that, but I am sure it happened. In what frame of reference? In hand, in walk, in trot?
Imho one’s followers should not always play into the mix, since one cannot control the actions/misunderstandings of others. I really only know one very successful student of his (no, not referring to BD). Lifetimes of apprenticeship like his son still does not make them the same person.
Is there nothing you do like? ie collectability/ease.
I found horses he trained very easy/uncomplicated to ride, and sound to an old age. Some very ‘hard audiences’ enjoyed his work as well.
For me, all horsemen learn from one another IF the goal is the same. In the past (for dressage riders) it has been a goal of haute ecole with trust/balance/collection (which would make it a different goal than today’s competition world).
