Nvmind

Photos are just a moment in time but in the first photo she looks super uncomfortable in the body with her hindend camped under and her under neck muscles engaged.

In the second photo she looks like she is less in pain and so her stance is more of her true structure.

If the first photo was an accurate representation of the before I’d actually be more inclined to evaluate what may have changed with farrier, turnout, etc to figure out why she hurt before and how to prevent it from happening again.

I think the addition of a good ration balancer is always a great call but I’d still keep an eye on the holistic picture. The tail growth is quite noticeable which would make me wonder if she was really lacking adequate nutrition previously. How’s the hay quality? Tested?

So much for your 2¢ :smirk:
Love the Poofed threads, so informative :expressionless:

And who does not open a thread that has a title like Nvmind? Clearly there is something worth reading in there.

Maybe @GraceLikeRain can tell us what the original question was.

It was 2 photos of a paint horse, supposedly showing a difference ?

But the first photo showed a horse who was clearly uncomfortable, while the second the horse looked marginally better posture-wise.

It was quite mild - two pics a month or so apart of a paint horse. I agree with another poster that the dramatic tail growth (unless skewed by the angle, which is possible) pointed toward a nutritional deficiency that was addressed in at least some part by the new feeding program. The horse did not look bad by any means, just undermuscled and a tiny bit rough coated. My guys are all disgusting right now, but shiny underneath the ick so I am sympathetic to the winter woolies!

The first pic did show a horse that was uncomfortable in its body but as another pointed out, pics are a moment in time. That would just be something to watch for if the horse ALWAYS looks and stands like that. I know I get a bit lost in the appearance of my own animals since I see them daily (“barn blind” in some ways).

I don’t even know why I bothered. OP has ghosted at least 5 threads in a row and has hidden their profile. Multiple threads regarding malnutrition, hay quality, horse getting injured and fear of future soundness, weird muscling issues, etc. A lot of people have been very generous with their time and anything that smells negative results in an attempt to completely clear the thread. I almost QFP but felt like I was being petty assuming another ghosted post, oh well.

edit: Gosh I had forgotten how many ghosted threads have come from this OP - the 60 acre family farm, the dangerous boarding situation, getting involved in a hoarding issue, job searching advice, trainer is obsessed with my horse, etc.

OP if you are genuinely a grown adult in their mid 20s with a spouse and a master’s degree, please interact on this forum like a genuine adult. For now, you’re going on my ignore list. No use wasting time with someone who doesn’t actually want to be part of the community.

Glad you pointed all that out, I thought the name sounded familiar, and yep, quite a few threads I took time to offer advice that was asked for have had the OP wiped out  Hopefully I’ll remember/pay attention to the name of new posts and not bother
