The aforementioned banned poster publicly admitted to being banned from multiple discussion boards in the past, so was likely very familiar with the warning signs (indeed, most likely did receive warnings from the moderators prior to being banned). Creating a new account prior to that time is not only plausible, it’s expected and predictable.
Don’t overestimate my concern for who believes what (besides which, I know quite a few forum members in real life so I’m not entirely anonymous). I do think it’s interesting to see how far some will stretch their imaginations and work to believe the narrative they have formed. A lot of innocent people are sitting in prison because of this.
Fortunately, no one’s liberty is at stake here.
When I was involved with horse rescues, there always seemed to be a contingent of hoarders who stuck up for one another online. Had their stories never been examined, animals would have continued to suffer. For this reason I find value in listening and reading with a discriminating eye and ear. A bit of skepticism can be a good thing[/QUOTE]
Skeptics are useful.
Vigilantes and zealots are misbegotten
Sadly this thread is no longer about horses or their welfare.
