Official Adorable Pony Thread!

[QUOTE=AmarachAcres;7506145]
Here is our Rain. He has been packing my daughters since 2006. The girl in the pink shirt on the big Palomino in one photo is the same little girl in some of the others. Now my youngest is on him, too. (She’s the one with the bright pink helmet!)

I believe we have a new champion  What an awesome little guy!!

Don’t you just love pony ears!

I love the pictures of all of the ponies!

I feel like I hit the jackpot with my small  I bought him 10 years ago as a backyard mutt pony off of a picture on the internet from a horse trader friend of mine sight unseen. He was a great pasturemate for my other horses for the next 5 or 6 years.

I had a kid start riding him a couple of years ago and he turned out to be such a little superstar!

And surprise of all surprises, he cleans up real nice! Here he is with my daughter at her first show last summer:

And my favorite picture from the weekend pretty much sums up her walk trot class (she’s learned a little more tact in her leg aids since):

So cute!

Here is a picture of my daughter and Spirit from this winter (you’ll remember Spirit from the pony for $1 thread) He grew an INCREDIBLE fluffy winter coat with a very white belly and butt cheeks… we would >squeee< every time he trotted and all his fluff would jiggle- we called him “The Marshmallow” While I look forward to sleek summer horses- I almost feel sad to run the shedding blade over Spirit.

Now this is a video from last week- the pony/mini in the movie looks a little similar to Spirit- but it is not him- this pony is a neighbor’s about a mile away. I was out with my husband on the cart driving my 18 hand Shire cross when this little bugger came charging out in the road. He was loose in a fenced yard- but the driveway gate was open. At first I was VERY concerned because it was not a friendly greeting- and it could have been potentially very dangerous with a horse in harness- but it wound up being pretty funny and I relaxed enough to ask my husband to get a little video.

Kids on Ponies! Is there ANYTHING cuter? No. There absolutely isn’t. Keep these coming, I’ve been oohing and awwing into my coffee all morning.

My little guy ridden by a friends little girl in a costume class last year.

I’m so in love with ALL of these!

Here’s my contribution from today’s nature walk.

Eeyore.

Technically Oden is a pony too. He’s only 13.3.

Oh my goodness. So much cuteness! I especially love the mini donkey. I want one! I have a 9 month old Welsh Cob filly.

Cato last fall. Not mine, but one of my favorites in the barn. He was put down in December at age 32 because of DLSD. He was a Morgan, so not a pony “breed” but probably 13.2 when he stretched real tall. He was a character and he was wicked hot!

Talking, age 30+.

I love all the fuzzy ponies and mini-donks and …

I looked through all my photos and it’s come to my attention that I haven’t taken that many really good pictures lately  These are cute but not great.

There’s a finger up your nose.

He is amazing. Partially blind now in one eye but keeps going like a trooper and he is the only equine I’ve ever met, that is truly 99% bombproof. I’ve never seen him spook, not in 7 years.

Loves attention, too.

I’m just gonna leave that there.

Is that a hippo pony?

O![](G this is the MOST adorable thread!! I LOVE it! A GREAT distraction from big decisions!

My guy(s) are not technically “ponies”, but still, they are “little folk” with big “'tudes”

Simon (of course, fluffy porky guy and yes, all halters are breakaways)

Getting his muddy face brushed, just like a little boy

And Indy (donkey - RIP)

[IMG]http://i1185.photobucket.com/albums/z356/lilitiger2/Indyinwindow.jpg)

This is my Henry.

This picture makes him look big, but he’s really a wee little thing, only around 13 hands. Not including ears, of course!

We have two squee-worthy little ones. Our daughter is 5 and loves her ponies.

Our REALLY small small (10 hands). He’s a saint! Half Shetland, half mini.
http://i1314.photobucket.com/albums/t574/AndNirina/Zippy_zps64d6b851.jpg

Our small large (13.3 hands). An adorable mare who will teach her girl a lot. Half paint, half Welsh.

Same kid, same saddle, taken in the same month. Gives you an idea of how small the mini man really is! Our daughter looks big and him and tiny on the large.
