Ogilvy Half Pad.. HELP!

They also post a ton of pictures on Instagram.

I had two - now have 0. Just sold my last one. I thnk they are great if you have an ill fitting saddle, but when you have a saddle that fits the horse really well, it really it “too much” pad underneath.

I used mine religiously when I had my devoucoux - it was too banana shaped for my horse and the Ogilvy helped it sit better. Now that I have a custom delgrange, there is no need for it. I just use a mattes pad.

Ogilvy is a WONDERFUL company to deal with though, and would highly recommend them to anyone who actually needs a correction pad.

Just out of curiosity, which Ogilvy are you getting? The memory foam or gummy half pad? I’ve never used either so I wasn’t sure if there was a ton of difference between the two.

I was also wondering if people find a difference in the gummy or thinner version vs the thicker version

I have the memory foam version

Talk to Ogilvy about the issue - they may want to look into it & may replace the “cushion”.

Does anyone know which color they match for the monogram embroidery? The piping or the binding color? I sent them an email and never got a response. I am thinking of getting a white base half pad with silver gray piping and navy binding and would want to be sure that the monogram is navy, not gray. Or should I just order over the phone?

I’m also interested in hearing if anyone shows in the hunter ring with a half pad that has any color on the trim.

There’ve been website problems so I’d call or try Facebook contact - from what I’ve seen, the embroidery will be whatever you want.

Quick question for all you Ogilvy owners. I had one a while back when Dover first started carrying them. It was just the black stock jumper pad. I had sold it at some point and looking to get another.

Can anyone explain to me the difference between the standard 1 1/4" jumper half pads versus the 1" thickness jumper half pads versus the gummy jumper half pads? I believe I just had the standard 1 1/4" width.

Looking to order a pretty new one, just trying to decide my best option. My saddle fits my horse quite well, I just liked the shock absorption and it felt so much better on my back to ride.

Does anyone know if you can buy just the cover? I think I want to order it in a different color than the one I have now. I didn’t see anything like that on the site.

You can buy the covers buy themselves, however they are so much money it might be worth it to get a whole new pad

Satin Filly- I’ve found you can order just the cover from blueberry hill. Probably could straight from Ogilvy as well, but BH has prices listed. They sell the whole pad for $199 which is same price from Ogilvy and just the cover for $129

Holy crap! Well…good thing I am handy with a sewing machine! Might be a fun project.
