fun fact about dover: you can return anything for a refund/exchange, no matter how old or used it is (worn saddles purchased years ago, used boots, etc.) they either put it back out in the warehouse, save it for a tent sale, or put it in the plaistow basement.

But hey, it’s cheaper to drive to Dover and back, than the shipping (even cheaper than their $4.95 with CC shipping!)[/QUOTE]
I’m 1.5 hours from any Dover and it’s still cheaper to drive there than pay shipping.

Wait- so I could buy a $2000 saddle, use it for 5 years and then return for a full refund?? (You know, if I lacked morals and had the guts to do it?)

I’m with you…I would NEVER do such a thing, because it’s simply WRONG. There are plenty of people without morals in the world unfortunately. I think the “theory” behind that policy is that most people know what the right thing is (defective products) but there are always those people that try to “game” the system.

Not the full value, I don’t think. I bought a saddle once and determined it didn’t fit, after a bit (less than a month). Dover took it back less wear and tear on the saddle.

Does their satisfaction guarantee have an exception for saddles?

I’m no longer satisfied, because it no longer looks new
There are no parameters for a return – provided you have proof of purchase (or it can be found within their system), you are eligible for a refund, replacement or exchange.

For the full price?! Even on saddles?!!

they will take anything back, including saddles… but i do believe they refund based on the market value for saddles. aka if you return a 8 year old circuit you probably won’t get the full refund, but what the value of that saddle is for that year/make.
That’s crazy!! No wonder their shipping prices are ridiculous!
