Older horse, wobbly hind end

Jingles for a diagnosis and treatment plan for your mare ~

((hugs)) for her worried owner ~

Jingles & AO ~

I always like to come back and update threads like this in case anyone is searching later and it may help with their horse.

We’re 12 odd months on, and she’s doing amazing. She’s mainly been used for a fortnightly or so trail ride/ponying the youngster out, but on the lunge etc looks great and clearly is feeling good based on her antics in the paddock! Decided to pull her out and give her an arena session on the weekend, and she was brilliant. Shoulder ins, canter leg yields and walk/canter transitions all balanced and supple…so I’m going to attempt to bring her back into work a bit more and see how she goes! If it’s causing her grief it’ll be pretty obvious…and if she can cope it seems to me that keeping her fit and muscled can only be good for her.

(Also…she refuses to accept that she is 20 now, and continues to well and truly out run the 4yo )
