What are some of the best online resources for Western gear?
I’ve ordered western tack from Chick’s and from SmartPak and been happy with the stuff and the service.
I’ve ordered two saddles from Horse Saddle Shop and been satisfied with the service and quality, although the saddle fitting “expert” led me astray. It worked out OK because I had another horse that could use the saddle that came nowhere close to fitting the mule I bought it for and I quite like the saddle itself.
What specifically are you looking for? Some of it depends on the discipline.
My general stuff go-to’s are Schneiders and Chick’s.

Have to 2nd the recommendation of Riding Warehouse. Their customer service and return policy are fabulous! Have also ordered from Valley Vet Supply for the basics (halters, leads, etc.) but Riding Warehouse is my go-to 1st choice.

I have a Ortho-flex saddle that has been used for everything. I know there are a lot of options on ortho-flex but it is super comfortable, without feeling like your sitting on a couch.
I don’t know if they still do this, but when they are making your saddle, they send you a proto type ‘bare-bones’ saddle to ride in. When your saddle is ready you can either return the saddle, or buy it for super cheap, which is what I did. the bare bones saddle is really ugly but super light as it dosen’t have any leather on it and was used as a barrel saddle. My saddle has long rigging so you have a shorter cinch which I believe is better for the horse.
