I had an Alla’Czar grandbaby and he was SO lovely…but he didn’t jump like that! Honestly, though, what a pleasure to own. He was so game.
Here’s my Alla Czar baby, an '05 model. She is my retiree’s bestie and lives in my backyard. We mostly bop around and work on staying limber. I have a two year old (human) and I don’t have the energy or ambition for anything else these days.
I don’t think the rider is “pretending” at all. Sure he gives a long release a few times, but I think he would have preferred to do without some of the extra air between his body and the horse on a few of those jumps. Loved that horse!
Some riders do that as an affectation. In this case, Rick wasn’t pretending. The horse’s amateur owner was publicly quoted as saying she had to start going to the gym in order to stay with the jump.
Wait, there was a rider on the horse? Because I was too consumed by watching that horse glide like butter to over the fences to notice!
The ultimate compliment in hunters, I think!
